It's Raining; It's Pouring.

It is raining right now - pouring. It has been all morning. I woke up around 7:30 to thunder and rain, rolled over and went back to bed. Rainy days are wonderful for sleeping late, drinking hot chocolate, and taking a calming step back. When it rains like this, you don't want to go out. And it's a nice reminder of how dependent we are on the the earth, nature, and what she wants to do. It's a nice reminder that we are not in control, that the earth doesn't consider our plans, and that nature will take care of herself. As much as we're destroying this panet with pollution and deforestation and so many other things, what we're really destorying is ourselves; nature will find a way. The rain keeps me inside, it keeps my neighbors inside, and it's comforting to know that there is something greater than humanity and that to it, we are insignificant. It's freeing to be reminded of your place in the world.
