I feel I should add my own thoughts, but those pieces spell out the problem pretty precisely. Our current political state doesn't really match up with what I was taught in school about a "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" (that would be quoted from the Gettysburg Address). But that's the funny thing about democracy, it's the people that have the power, not the president. So exercise your power. Pass it on. Do something.
