My diss meeting went well today, and I now have a much more sensible topic. I have a good hold on it and think I'll be fine. It really is just a matter of writing the prospectus now. The big decisions have been made. And writing I do very well. Deciding, that I'm iffy on.
Problem: one of the people I want to be on my committee is on sabbatical next semester, which is not a problem unless I need to defend the prospectus in January (which it looks like). I've asked hir if ze would be willing to come to the defense, then I promise to leave hir alone for months and months and months.
